Built Confidence at Nuclear Summit

Hannah Vickers joins panel debate at Nuclear Summit 2026 in London.

Organised by Economist Impact, the Nuclear Summit is one of the most prestigious in the business calendar for the industry, and took place in London on 15 April 2026.

Built Confidence’s Hannah Vickers joined a panel discussion, Climate deadlines: can nuclear energy deliver by 2050?, exploring the hurdles to building nuclear plants at pace.

Joining Hannah were: Nicholas McMurray (Clear Path), Jonathan Cobb (World Nuclear Association), and Erveina Gosalci (Canadian Association of Small Modular Reactors & SMR Forum), with proceedings moderated by Geoff Carr the Senior Editor, Science & Technology at The Economist.

Together they discussed the political, financial, and industry challenges faced by the sector, and who will lead the energy transformation which, owing to the climate crisis, will need to be delivered in record time.

Hannah Vickers, Managing Director, Built Confidence said, “Nuclear has a fundamental role to play in delivering a future-proofed energy mix which meets our climate and energy security ambitions. It was a pleasure to join the debate and explore the political, financial, and industrial challenges on stage with the panel at this year’s Economist Impact Nuclear Summit.”
